Suggested Wedding Shoes

Step into sophistication with our exquisite collection of hand-finished luxury leather shoes. Crafted from the finest materials and finished with impeccable attention to detail, each pair embodies timeless elegance and unparalleled comfort.

Tying the Knot - Luxury Ties

The finer details of a polished look come down to thoughtful accessories. A silk tie adds elegance, while a pocket square brings subtle flair. A quality leather belt ties the outfit together when matched seamlessly with your shoes. Cufflinks offer a refined touch, showcasing personal style through understated luxury. Each element elevates your look with sophistication and confidence.

Essential Shirts

When choosing a shirt, remember it's typically the canvas for the rest of your outfit. Keeping it simple with a well-fitted, plain-colored shirt in pure cotton—or linen if the weather allows—makes it easy to pair with anything. A clean, classic shirt also takes the hassle out of matching accessories like ties and pocket squares.

Questions to consider before buying your wedding outfit

Fabrics can have very different properties when it comes to retaining heat. It’s important to factor that into your wedding suit purchase.

A thick wool or flannel suit might be a cosy choice for a winter wedding, but on a hot summer day you will quickly feel the heat. A linen, cotton or silk blend suit will leave you free to take part in the festivities without overheating.

In most cases, a lightweight suit will be more comfortable. Remember, you'll likely feel hot, even if it's chilly outside—wedding day nerves and excitement tend to do that!

If it’s in the UK, given the temperamental weather, lighter fabrics like wool blends, silk, or even linen might be worth considering, especially in the warmer months.

The location—whether it’s a church, beach, barn, or swanky hotel—can help narrow down the style. You may opt for a traditional tuxedo, or something more relaxed, like a soft jacket and trousers.

Will you need two outfits? Some grooms prefer a formal tuxedo for an evening winter wedding but a lighter, more relaxed ensemble for a garden or afternoon summer event. Consider if your wedding spans both day and night, as this could dictate different looks for each.

When considering the fit of your suit, the level of activity to expect at a wedding is all-important. If you prefer a tighter fit you might have to be careful when dancing, or you could end up with damage to your suit.

This is where our complimentary tailoring service can help, as we’ll ensure your suit is the perfect fit for the big day.

Every wedding is unique to the bride and groom, and that can result in some unusual requests when it comes to suit styles and colours.

Both our own selection of Robert Old fabrics and the Belvest fabrics used in our made-to-measure suits come in a wide variety of colours to suit even the most unusual of wedding requirements.

Think about versatility. If you can envision wearing the suit or parts of it again at other events, you’re making a smart investment. A bold pattern might be fun for the wedding day, but consider if it’s something you’d want to wear to another formal occasion.
